The End of 2013

Happy New Year's Eve!

I can't believe it is the end of another year.

Resolutions for 2014?  I honestly don't have many. My goal for 2014 is to slow down and enjoy my family and friends because really what else matters in life right?

I hope everyone out there had a great year and that the upcoming year only holds good things!

A Monster To Love

A friend bought this cute guy from A Monster To Love and B and C wanted monsters too.

Here are our DIY versions.  Chase designed "Floppy" himself and "Rukus" is an imitation of "Mr. Ordinary" above.

Xmas Morning

Merry Christmas!!!

Chase was up from 2-4 AM this morning waiting for Santa.  He was so excited when we finally let him downstairs.

Santa even left Chase a present under the tree in his room.

Stark is also a Christmas fan but he hasn't learned the spirit of giving yet (he stole both toys).

Chase loves his "half bike scooter".

Keira was wide eyed from all the shouting and excitement.

Stockings are the best!

Keira got a crinkle paper elephant.

I love Christmas morning!

Notice how tired we look - 6 AM present opening is exhausting.

The aftermath...

Now off to play with our new toys!

Merry Christmas Eve

Chase is at the perfect age to enjoy Christmas. This morning he had a lengthy conversation with me about how he thinks the elves drop off the gifts and Santa just carries them.  He said there are a lot of elves so it makes more sense then one person doing all the work.

We had the family over tonight for dessert, gifts, and Rise of the Guardians. It was a ton of fun - Keira enjoyed hanging out in her high chair with everyone.

After the party Chase even managed to go to bed nicely tonight!

Santa has already made his stop by our house and apparently everyone was very good this year!

Merry Christmas Eve - I hope everyone out there has sweet dreams!!! Can't wait until morning!

It's Hard to Wait

I can't believe Christmas is almost here. We are finally done shopping for gifts, we have all our groceries, all the wrapping is done...we are ready to enjoy the holiday!

Today Chase and I snuck to IHOP for a mommy and Chase date breakfast - that kid sure does love bacon!

We also busted into the gifts and I let him open one from a friend (he just couldn't stand it anymore lol).

He got these awesome blocks and spent quite awhile building. It helped momentarily pause the bouncing off walls going on around here.

Then he got to open one more from our nanny.  He got a lego flashlight headband (or for him a belt ha!) which was very exciting.

But the real highlight of Chase's day:  Finding a $20 bill on the bathroom floor at Target!  Nothing better then that right???

The highlight of my day:  Booking our vacation to San Diego!!!

Ho Ho Ho

We had our annual neighborhood progressive party and we all had a great time!  Santa stopped by to give the kids gifts!

PS. When we got home Chase said "I think that must have been one of Santa's decoys because he didn't have his reindeer with him."  Decoys!  Ha!!!
