Halloween 2015

Happy Halloween!!!

I love Halloween - Costumes, Candy, Parties, FUN FUN FUN!

This year we had a Ninja and Minnie Mouse (Keira was also going to be a Ninja but decided to be Minnie last minute, hence the store bought costume - but she is pretty darn adorable in it).

Chase's costume was homemade and I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

Knocking your sister out with weapons #everyboysdream

Chase posing in his costume.  I made the armor and bracers out of EVA foam and sewed the costume based on some other clothes he had.  I was very happy with the results.

How cute is super spunky little Minnie.

Here is a picture of Chase posing....and Keira trying to match his pose...

We had a little family party which we ended with some Trick or Treating - Keira loved it!

This year we split into two groups and let Chase do some serious Trick or Treating (last year he felt held back by Keira).  He was very happy with his haul this time...

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!!!

Good luck to all the parents out there...Halloween and a time change oh my!

Fall Catch Up

We have had a busy last few weeks!

Chase competed in his first Karate tournament and won third place in patterns.

Chase had his Night of the Notables (a Colorado History school event).  He was William Byers the creator of the Rocky Mountain News for the event.

We celebrated Uncle G's birthday with some Voo Doo donuts.

Chase completed his red stripe Karate testing and passed with flying colors - what a rock star!

We hit Boo at the Zoo.

I cut my hair and got my nose pierced.

And a Halloween Sneak Peek from the school parades...

Chase is going to be a Ninja.

Keira was going to be a Ninja as well but after experiencing Boo at the Zoo and figuring out what Halloween was all about she changed her mind last minute and insisted on being Minnie Mouse.

Fall

We have had a busy fall!

The other weekend we took the kids to hike at Lair O The Bear.  It was a great place to go with little ones.  Stroller friendly, lots of places to stop and rest, and plenty of things for them to explore.  It was a lot of fun.

I got a macro lens for my new camera - I can't wait to take it to the aquarium and really try it out!

Chase turned 8!  I can't believe how big he is getting!  We had a nice little party that involved frisbee golf, donuts, games, tons of presents...how can you go wrong?

We have also been spending a lot of time at the zoo.  Keira asks about going to see animals almost every day.

Last time we went to the zoo I told Keira she could pick any treat they had...she picked an apple...lol

This weekend we got October started with a little Halloween decorating and of course a trip to a pumpkin patch!  We went to the Rock Creek Farms this year.  They have more pumpkins then you can imagine and a bunch of kids activities.  It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
