Jamberry Nails
My Jamberry nail shields came!
I admit I was a little skeptical, primarily because I was worried about the complicated application process. Turns out it wasn't bad at all! I was able to get them all on with no wrinkles my first try. A hair dryer worked fine (no need for the heater). They were a little harder to file then some of the other ones but it still worked, it just took more time to get them smooth.
They don't look quite as nail polish like as the Sally Hansen ones but they have a great high gloss finish to them.
If they last a week like advertised I am sold. The fun patterns Jamberry have put them a bit above the rest in my opinion.
Update: So bummed they lasted like 2 days. Ugh!!!!

Kiss Nail Shields
If you remember a few weeks ago I tried Sally Hansens Nail Shields and fell in love with them. They are easy to put on, look great, last a week (more if you can stand they nail grow out), and are fast to remove.
I decided to try Kiss nail shields and they are a huge disappointment. They aren't as flexible as the Sally Hansen ones so they make wrinkles. Also they don't seem to stick nearly as well. The excess doesn't file off well so the fit matters a lot more. It looks like a sticker on your nails instead of polish.
New Shoes
Chase goes back to school in a week so it was time for a new pair of shoes. He got his first pair of laced shoes! Airwalks (what all the cool kids wore when I was a kid - I have a soft spot for "skater shoes"). He is getting so big!
Keira also got her first pair of shoes. If you have a baby I totally recommend Payless vs name brand shoes (only $5 for a pair of baby shoes whoop whoop)! They don't wear them for very long anyways.
We also adventured to the Aurora mall for the first time. It was like a walk down memory lane. They had two oriental gift stores, a Spencers, Pet City, and an Arcade in the mall! They also had a train the drove people around in the mall - seriously?! Chase's favorite part were the huge bubble gum machine displays every 15 feet (he has dreams of returning with a bucket full of quarters).

Science Camp
This summer Chase opted for 7 weeks of science camp. His last camp was an advanced robotics camp and he built this robotic arm. He is practicing writing with it!

Yoga Wall
Lately I have been intrigued by the idea of trying a class that uses a yoga wall. It seems like you would be able to get so much deeper into poses!
Now I just have to find somewhere to take a class...

Happy Birthday Keira!
Happy 1st Birthday Keira!!! I can't believe it has already been a year!
Keira is spunky, sassy, and quite the dare devil. She is already toddling about (not really talking much but she has a few sounds).
Yesterday we had a little party to celebrate...here is a picture of her checking out the pile of gifts.
She looked adorable in her birthday dress and bow.
She wasn't too terribly interested in the cupcakes (the grapes and corn were her food of choice).
Of course she had to model a few of her new looks.
I am looking forward to many more birthdays!

Breckenridge Fun Park
We went to the fun park in Breckenridge - Chase had a great time. I highly recommend the day pass, it is expensive but worth it. The park was perfect for younger kids. The Alpine slides are really fun and aren't scary at all, even for ride wimps like me (except I hate chair lifts).
(Chase was grumpy in the above picture because the people in front of him were going too slow...)
B and C tried the Gold Coaster but I skipped that one. Our friends did the ziplines and said they were fun but those do have an extra cost and take an hour to do and have schedules times.
Chase was a little afraid of the bungee trampoline but I am proud of him for trying it.
The only negative was the price of food - it was like being at Disney. It was kind of ridiculous but you could easily bring your own and avoid that problem. Oh and be sure to reapply sunscreen regularly (we ended up with some crispy critters around here).
Overall it was a great day!
