I bought a pair of butterfly pants from Matilda Jane and I love them! I thought they would be perfect maternity pants because they have a wide ribbed waistband. I used the pants I had to make a pattern and I made a pair for a friend.
I decided I was in the mood to make a more casual outfit for Keira. I modified the peasant dress pattern to be a tunic by removing the ruffles / gathers and making the bodice a single piece of fabric with a slight flare at the bottom. Then I made a pair of matching single ruffle pants to go with the tunic. I love the results! The best part is that the entire outfit took less than 2 hours to finish!
I also made a pair of ruffle cinch pants for a friend that is having a baby soon. Her husband is an avid cyclist so I thought this fabric would be fun.
Chase is such an amazing big brother! Every time he walks into the room Keira lights up and smiles at him.
I can't believe how big he has gotten! He is reading like a champ and has been working on learning how to swim. He even took a board breaking class at Karate (this year he wants to test for his green stripe).
