Another Pentagon Ball

Boris liked Chase's pentagon ball so much he wanted one too. This one is a little smaller but still cute I think. One thing that I have noticed is that when you use a whip stitch and then stuff the ball you can see the stitches, I am wondering if I should switch to a ladder stitch which is what I have been using the close the ball once it is stuffed.

Yay, I'm so glad that you liked the ball I made! I only just realised that the link went to me...

I tried ladder stitch, but found that although the thread wasn't visible, the lines were awful once it was stuffed. The best solution that I found was teeny and tight whipstitch, around 25-30 stitches an inch seemed to do it. Also using thread that matches the fabric as much as possible, but I can never be bothered to change thread.

(By the way, there's some problem with openID, which is why I'm appearing as Jo rather than Islay here. Weird, apparently typepad are working on solving it).
